Health, Safety and Environment Protection Policy of BorsodChem Zrt.

"Our utmost intention is to prevent damage occurring to health, equipment and the environment by means of a considerate behaviour at all times."

It is BC’s objective that its operations should have no adverse impact on humans, our factories and the environment and operate free from accidents and without economic losses.

In order to achieve the above objective we commit ourselves to the following:

• BC Zrt.’s Management takes an active role in that health, safety and environment protection issues are to be considered in the course of decision-making with as much emphasis as business issues.
• All of BorsodChem’s employees are responsible for protecting the environment, our facilities and their health during their work.
• We operate a conscious company management system in line with the requirements of MSZ 28001 and MSZ EN ISO 14001. In order to continuously improve our performance our targeted corporate objectives are as follows:
  • to prevent injuries, health impacts and damages,
  • to use natural resources economically, 
  • to minimise environmental pollution.
• Observe laws and legal requirements and accept the health, safety and environment protection recommendations of international chemical industry trade organisations. Conduct our operations according to the safety principles of the “Responsible care” program of the European Chemical Industry Association.
• Identify and analyse safety and health risks including environmental factors and implement programs aiming at their reduction.
• Continuously develop and renew our technologies and apply the best available and safest processes. Our safety, health and environmental protection systems are efficient and represent the first line sector.
• Pay close attention to that the environmental protection and work safety performance of enterprises operating on BC’s site is at the appropriate level at all times. 
• Contribute to the work of trade, governmental, social and civil organizations both in our narrower and wider neighbourhood in order to find solutions for health, safety and environmental issues.

All of BC Zrt.’s employees have realised that what we do collectively at this company in the interest of health, safety and environment protection is not for the sake of the standards and authorities, but to contribute with all of this to ensure the sustainable development of the region, increase social satisfaction and secure the survival and development of our company.
