BorsodChem’s management is aware of the fact that towards the sustainable development and the implementation of its goals, it is a basic requirement to ensure accident-free operation without losses and eliminate adverse effects for both humans and the environment.
BorsodChem continuously develops and renews its technologies and applies the best available and safest technologies, therefore the first line safety and health protection systems are efficient. BorsodChem is committed to implement excellent safety and occupational health, therefore the company keeps improving and updating its operational practice and regulations. For this purpose, a decision has been made that in the interest of developing the current management system (QMS: ISO 9001, EMS: ISO 14001) the international standard OHSAS18001 (MSZ 28001) will be introduced and to do so BorsodChem launched the MEBIR project, which will complete the design of the system by the end of H1 2010. MEBIR subsumes BorsodChem’s safety obligations and duties in the field of labour-, health-, fire protection and other safety activities.
The system so established is compatible with the ISO Quality Management (QMS) and Environmental Management (EMS) systems including the Responsible Care Management Framework.
